Our Environmental Policy

Nature's Drugstore is committed to environmental sustainability through;

1. Responsible botanical cultivation (growing things that breathe). Botanicals used in our products contribute to biodiversity in agricultural regions and offer economic alternatives to monoculture.
2. Use of 100% recyclable plastics in the most common and high-demand form acceptable to municipal recycling programs: Type 1 PETE and Type 2 HDPE plastics. We continue to explore options such as paper boxes with a higher percentage of post-consumer waste, and corn-based plastics as these become increasingly available in commercial volumes. PLEASE SORT AND RECYCLE YOUR NATURE'S DRUGSTORE PACKAGING. We can't do it without you!
3. Efficient, low energy business practices (conserving energy). More than two-thirds of our employees either walk, cycle, carpool or take public transit to work.
4. Carbon-neutral shipping; Nature's Drugstore has committed to purchasing "green tags" as they become available (late 2007); these enable suppliers of our shipping services to purchase more-expensive but greener energy from renewable and non-polluting sources, such as wind power, to offset carbon expenditure.
